Where to begin. I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. My mom was an avid photographer herself – she used to photograph the horses at Parx Casino where my grandmother worked. When I was 15, I borrowed my mom’s camera and entered a photography competition. I won the competition, and with it my first camera (one of those Olympus point-and-shoot/SLR hybrids). The timing could not have been better. That summer I was heading to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji on a People To People student ambassador trip. It’s hard not to think you’re a great photographer when you have the Sydney Opera House and New Zealand countryside in front of your camera. From then on I was hooked on photography, taking pictures of every little thing around the house.
Fast forward to college (Temple Owls where you at?). I was visiting my brother in Baltimore when a friend at his gym asked if I could fill in to photograph their friend’s wedding. They were two weeks out and hadn’t booked anyone. Me, being a nai

My husband and I got married at XIX at the Bellevue in Philadelphia this summer and used Brad’s photography services for our wedding and we can’t say enough great things. Leading up to the big day we talked to Brad about how we ‘pictured’ the big day and what kind of vibe we wanted him to capture. For us – we wanted the entire wedding to feel like us! From the moment Brad and his partner arrived we felt comfortable and at ease. So much so, I forgot he was even photographing us throughout the evening! At the end of the evening I noticed he was still there and at that moment couldn’t wait to see the pics. The pictures came out beautiful, natural, and effortless! I relived the entire evening again after seeing them! Brad was easy to work with, prepared, and professional and we will cherish our wedding pictures forever.
Brad captured our day perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for better pictures. He didn’t rush us or make us feel like we were on a time limit. He also brought champagne for us to pop after which was a super sweet touch! I would recommend him to everyone! All my friends and family can’t stop gushing about how great the pics are!
I’ve had the pleasure of not only having Brad photograph my wedding and engagement shots, but I’ve attended weddings that Brad is there shooting as well, and I can’t say enough great things! I continue to be impressed with Brad’s work, work ethic, and how he continues to grow in his field. Brad is easy-going, professional, flexible, and overall just a great vendor to work with. He makes you feel comfortable behind the camera and we were so pleased with how our photos turned out. After seeing my prints, one of my wedding guests was in awe of how he snapped particular in-the-moment shots but never seemed obtrusive or in the way of those special moments. I can attest to this after being a guest at weddings Brad has photographed. He’s intentional in his shots and moves around the venue with ease, capturing the essence of the wedding and celebration to follow. Brad has our recommendation!
We love the photos that came out from our engagement session with Brad! The whole process was seamless from booking, choosing a location, to shooting. I was concerned about the weather and kept changing times, but Brad was super accommodating and responsive. Since we are having a destination wedding, we already had our save the dates and invitation photos complete. This engagement shoot was a keepsake more for us of our engagement in Philadelphia and the beautiful fall colors. We made sure to tell him about the special spots that meant something to us and that the general vibe was casual. He captured that to a T!
Thank you so much, Samantha! You both were so present and engaging it made for an easy shoot. I hope to see some equally great pictures from your wedding in the Phillipines!!
Brad Vassallo Creative Services absolutely has our recommendation! From the first interaction we had to the last, Brad was professional, accommodating and friendly. He was available via text, email, and even FaceTime once on his lunch break when my bride brain was starting to lose it. On the day of the wedding, he met us at the salon. My stylist immediately leaned in to whisper “I am so impressed, most of them show up late with jeans and a t-shirt on. Looks like you got a good one!” and she was absolutely right! The rest of the day he seamlessly blended into the background while capturing what we would later find out were the best shots we didn’t know we needed! We gave him a list of family shots that we wanted, and he was more than happy to accommodate. Less than a month after our wedding (what!!) when we got our pictures back, we were blown away by the quality. His online gallery is easy to use and easy to share with loved ones. As if that wasn’t enough, the final cherry on top was the personalized gift box that arrived in the mail a few days later. Brad wrote us a handwritten letter of gratitude for sharing our day with him, a compass engraved with our wedding date and a sweet message, along with some prints that we immediately framed and hung in our home. Brad was truly the vendor of our dreams!
Nikki, I can’t tell you how much it means to hear your kind words and I wish nothing but the best for both of you in your marriage and in life. Thank you for everything.
