You can now book your wedding at Terrain Gardens!
Terrain Gardens, a new venue being brought to Philadelphia’s Main Line by the same exemplary design and events team behind Terrain at Styer’s in Glen Mills. The venue will be part of URBN’s newly-created lifestyle center, Devon Yard, and will now be taking bookings for events occurring September 1, 2018, and onward. This one-of-a-kind venue will accommodate celebrations year-round for up to 150 guests (minimum of 100) in a lush horticultural setting that will transform with the seasons to provide a unique backdrop for any special occasion. What sets this space apart is not only the impeccably cohesive design, led by the minds behind the ethereal home and garden brand, terrain, but also the attention to detail their team provides couples and families while planning their celebrations – the result of nearly 10 years of producing unforgettable events at Styer’s.
David Ziel, URBN Chief Development Officer says that Terrain Gardens will be “a magical and unique place like no other.” The new venue will feature 4 spaces including the Ceremony Garden, Garden Porch, Reception Room, and Bridal Suite. As far as the construction of the space, it is now in the demolition phase but is expected to function fully for a wedding on September 1st, 2018. “The couples who are booked for 2018 weddings are fascinated by the renderings and video tour we have been able to walk them through during the sales process, including seeing samples of the raw building materials. We are focused on providing them with continual updates on our construction and visual elements of the space while still keeping them on track with their planning process. Our whole creative team has been passionate about providing the couple an experience so that they understand the terrain vision of our venue without seeing the physical space.” – Brianna Alcorn

Ceremony Garden
Inspired by European landscapes, our ceremony space is a secluded garden hideaway. A covered pergola serves as the centerpiece, surrounded by beautifully manicured lawns, espalier trees, and porches seasonally draped in white wisteria. Outdoor mantels and comfortable benches line the garden, while a brick pathway is used as the aisle. For late afternoon ceremonies, overhead festival lights provide a glowing transition into evening. The garden is equipped with power, as well as folding chairs for up to 150 guests seated on the lawn.
Ceremonies may begin at 5:30 PM or earlier.

Garden Porch
Overlooking the gardens, our weather-protected porch is perfect for a post-ceremony cocktail hour. This airy space makes a graceful transition between the ceremony garden and reception room. The porch can also be used for ceremonies in the event of cold or inclement weather, with waxed canvas curtain panels available to enclose the space. The porch includes high top tables, a mobile bar, string lights, space heaters, and overhead fans.

Reception Room
Available for celebrations year-round, our reception room pairs rustic charm with modern amenities. Brightened by a large skylight, the space offers high ceilings with ample room for hanging installations. Reclaimed barn-wood floors, farmhouse tables, elegant Danish-designed seating, string lights, a built-in bar, and all season temperature control provide an elegant and comfortable event framework.

Bridal Suite
This spacious changing suite offers a quiet place to collect your thoughts before the ceremony. The space includes seating areas for the bridal party as well as a private restroom, full-length mirrors, and tall hooks for gowns. Cuisine and Hospitality
Cuisine and hospitality will be led and curated by James Beard Award-winning chef Jeff Michaud. Our culinary team will assist you in choosing a seasonal, locally-inspired menu for your event, paired with signature cocktails and hand-selected wines.
